For the safety of all our friends the Blue Skies Music Festival 2020 is cancelled on the site!
There will be no festival at the site this year of COVID!
So in the intrepid nature of the Blue Skies Music Festival
we’re virtual 2020!
Here’s the Blue Skies 2020 Program
The 2020 Program outlines Blue Skies concerts and gatherings for the 2020 August long weekend.
No question, we’ll miss being with each other in person; and yet we’re hoping this will give us a chance to connect, learn something new, and hear new music. A gift to our friends far and wide, from Blue Skies organizers and musicians who are performing!
All the musicians have had to cancel their important festival season and upcoming gigs because of COVID. Please if you have the desire to make a donation go to the artists websites, and buy their CD’s. Show them some love!
There are Main Stage performances each night of the August long weekend, and drum roll please … Magoo will be our MC!
Virtual “Campfire jams” and “Open Stage” performance videos have been rolling in: send us your Campfire jams or Open Stage videos! Find more information here: Join the Blue Skies campfire jams and Open Stage
Informations on the artists, concerts and performances with links are available on YouTube from the Program page. For workshops, and for video, voice, and text chats with Blue Skies friends, we’ve recreated the beautiful Blue Skies site using the Discord App.
What is the Blue Skies Music Festival?
“A great party and a tight community, Blue Skies has also been known since the start as a bit of a musician’s festival. There’s a relaxed and informal atmosphere that allows performers, audience and organizers to ease back a bit and just enjoy. It’s the kind of place where you just might find yourself sitting around the campfire jamming with the musicians you just watched on stage, or doing a volunteer shift shoulder to shoulder with your musical hero.”
